Here they come. One by one, they parade in their elegant summer clothes, in an endless procession. Their favourite accessory is a glass of La Pettegola, which they flaunt with ease. Pink is the dress code for the evening, and even colours the uniforms of the helpful waiters and the settings of the tables prepared outside. The sound of chattering is a symphony that serves as the backdrop to the joyful occasion. Calls come from all over: “A glass of La Pettegola please!” And as the glasses empty to the relentless toasts, the sky fills with stars. A small bird studies the scene, before flying away, taking with it the memory of this evening in the Tuscany countryside.
